This website is dedicated to Rod Carew, one of the greatest pure hitters ever to play the game. During his illustrious career, Carew played for the Minnesota Twins and the California Angels, had a lifetime batting average of .328, and is a member of the elite, 3000 hit club. In 1977 he made a significant run at batting .400, finishing the season at .388 and winning both the AL MVP and Batting Title. Rod Carew was an 18-time All-Star and was voted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
